Welcome to the Didsbury Counselling and Therapy Centre  website. We are a private psychotherapy practice located at the heart of West Didsbury, South Manchester.

We offer individual psychotherapy and counselling, group therapy, couple therapy and marriage counselling as well  life coaching, creativity coaching and employee assistance for the private and public sector.

We provide a safe and private environment for you to feel comfortable. You can read some of the positive testimonials we get from clients on the right.
Your privacy and confidentiality are important to us and our clients rarely meet in the waiting room.
We offer a wide range of therapies to fit your individual needs and wants.

Psychotherapy or Coaching?

Not everybody who is experiencing difficulties needs psychotherapy or counselling. Often, especially when it comes to career and life goals, coaching is the better approach.

Both Coaching and Psychotherapy improve an individual's well-being, emotional resilience and confidence. However, despite the occasional overlap there are significant differences.

To help you decide which is the better approach here is the difference: Counselling and psychotherapy works with mental health diagnosis and aims to resolve an individual's psychological dysfunction and ill health.

Covid Policy

We are following closely all medical advice and government regulations.
We offer support by phone or online for those who choose.
For clients who want face-to-face therapy we have made extensive adjustments:
  • social distancing is maintained in the centre and the counselling rooms

  • sanitising spray for fabrics in each room
  • alcohol gel dispensers at the entrance and 1st floor
  • therapists have masks or face visors and masks available for clients
  • staggered starting times for sessions

You might consider psychotherapy or counselling if you want help with:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety (social, etc.)
  • Panic attacks
  • Relationship problems
  • Parenting support

  • Self-esteem
  • Managing stress
  • Self harm
